The participants of the workshop learned the printing method monotype. They figured out by an experimental way all the possible options of this method. So every participant developed during the week his favourite option and used this to express his personal point of view of the city Kiel. To prepare this topic the participants get the task to dicover the city with disposable cameras (which we recycled afterwards). All resulting pictures where used as a pool of inspiration for the further work.


The group also made a spontanious visit to the beach which gave also a big influence for their work.
Random founded objects and beach-treasures where used for a small installation and exposition of impressions.
The most important part of the workshop was to take away any fear towards artistic pursuit. Monotype is a good method to practice a fearless work with arts because it's not possible to control everything. Some things are happening accidentally and you just could accept it.
Furthermore we trained the judging of their own work and of the work of the rest of the group, to find a critical opinion and a respectful handling with art.
The group was very satisfied with the results. The evaluation in this short time was magnificent.
